Using an online tool such as Trello for students to gather in cyberspace and communicate makes great sense because it is where they are at. Mike Simons -- I'm SURE it was Mike -- posted in May about the tech tool, Trello.
After viewing the video, explaining the tool, I asked next year's publication editors to use part of their time to take a look and let me know what they think. It was the very last day of school during the last class of the day.
They looked, liked and immediately began creating next year's boards.
Just this morning, I received another email notice more changes are happening.
Mike is correct; we want learning to be continual.
This tool encourages students to take initiative on projects. They are motivated, so in turn, they motivate their classmates.
If anybody else has other classroom communication tools they feel like sharing, please do so! Improvements are essential to keeping a program fresh and alive.
