I apologize for the shaking, but I had to take the risk.
It's been a while since I learned and laughed so much at a training. I'm not sure if Steve had just taken a Red Bull. It may have had to do with the half dozen coffees I saw him carrying from Starbucks after lunch. All I know is that I wish I had a camera and a tripod rolling the entire time during our training.
At first it seemed like Steve was just trying to make up time. The ever punctual train conductor just trying to get us to our last stop for the day. The frantic pace appeared just to keep everyone moving together toward an 'awesome' goal. But somewhere along the way, the video editing seminar changed. It just became dry sarcasm and what suddenly appeared before us was a man possessed with trying to overcome the most ridiculous challenges thrown at him for Final Cut Pro.
If you've ever seen How I Met Your Mother, Steve reminded me of the character Barney. Mike would ask him something, and Steve would unexpectedly expand it into the ridiculous. He all but said, "Challenge accepted." Oddly enough, it seemed as soon as he was through speed teaching us through some random transition he would quickly add, "Don't do that!"
Again, I wish I had captured more. I wish I had the video equipment and not just my cell phone. It is true, the good stuff happens when the camera is rolling.

Mike is a bad influence on me. Final Cut is a blast. Glad it was helpful, entertaining or both.
