Loved visiting Arizona Republic

Here are some of pictures from visiting the Republic.  I especially enjoyed seeing how interactive everything is now.  Some interesting points:  Everyone went through an intensive iPhone training in order to be able to capture news in all its forms on their iPhones; TV, print, and online collaborate and complement each other, sharing photos, stories, and sometimes even people.  It was really interesting and convinced me even more that I need to advocate for beginning broadcast to be part of our program at Kamiakin.

    I was thrilled to have the opportunity to sit in on their budget meeting and see their newsrooms in action! I can't wait to show my students the photos I took at The Republic and explain the similarities and differences between their budget meeting and the way we run ours.
