Just finished watching a great presentation on photography. Not only did I learn all about drag boat demolition derby, I took away much better tips and tricks for my photographers. I feel like I never really had any direction for my photographers, other than to cover events. The 10 pictures exercise is going to be great to try to get them to stop the mass photos and really think about them. This will certainly help focus them.
I also took away several tips from my fellow advisors to get kids out there and take photographs. Kathryn's spotter idea is fantastic. It's such an effective way to help get kids out of their comfort zone and feel supported to go for the 'shot.'

I am going to use the 10 picture exercise too. I am guilty of telling my kids to take lots and lots of photos. I like how Dave explained that they really have to look for key components in each frame before shooting. This is something I will be sure to teach my kids. Not only will it make them better photographers, but it will also improve the quality of photos in our yearbook and newspaper.
